Meet The Keynotes

Opening Keynote Andrea

VP, CEO AND AUTHOR

Andrea Bordenca

Andrea Bordenca resides in Ludlow, MA with her husband Chris Bordenca and three sons. Andrea’s focus and passion as a parent, leader, coach, citizen, and consultant is creating cultures of belonging; for Andrea this means examining societal expectations, norms, and learning to thoughtfully question what others’ expect of us.  She has experienced firsthand her authenticity being overshadowed by others definition of success.  There were times she didn’t know who her authentic self was. She is learning authenticity is dynamic.

A part of Andrea’s path to creating cultures of belonging is in exploring how to get to our individual authenticity: to learn how to shed old patterns and norms and to make room for emerging patterns requires new questions, new conversations, new neural patterns.  With new patterns comes discomfort. Our nervous system wants us to go back to what we learned. How can we begin to look at discomfort from our past to create incredible outcomes now?

Matt Baretich

FORENSIC ENGINEER

Matthew F. Baretich, P.E., Ph.D

Matt Baretich provides clinical engineering and forensic engineering services through Baretich Engineering, based in Fort Collins, Colorado. He also works for Lower Mainland Biomedical Engineering, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is leading a province-wide CMMS replacement project.

Effective January 2026, the Joint Commission has made major changes across all of its standards, including medical technology management. What is changing? How do we maintain compliance and prepare for survey? How should the HTM community react? This presentation takes a deep dive into these questions.
